Awesome Table Chair

Sometimes you need an extra chair and sometimes you need a table. These modern chairs can be either or depending on your needs. By simply pushing the two chairs together they transform into a table. Each chair has a notch to slide in one another. Now unused seating has some other place to go. When you’ve got visitors and need an extra chair or two you simply pull them apart. Tada, you got two chairs! This needs to show up at IKEA stat!

In today's mass production market, "made by hand" is often a rare thing indeed. These pictures highlight wonderful examples of hand made wood chairs from Whyrhymer Furniture. Whyrhymer has a studio in California where each of these chairs is made by their craftsmen. Only FSC certified renewable or reclaimed hardwoods are used in the construction helping support today's environmental efforts. More information: here.

Sit Down and Relax

Mention rocking chairs and thoughts of summer evenings on the porch and cold Mint Juleps might come to mind. This rocking chair and loveseat from Wilson Scott, however, throws together polyurethane mesh, a cutout spherical shell and curved steel piping for a distinctly modern feel. Don’t know about you, but I could definitely see getting down on one of these and grinding out 10 hours on Xbox Live.
